Class Management and Art Show Preparation

​There is no fee to attend. This Professional Development has a deadline, and the discussion questions are required for participants to meet the minimum 3-hour requirement.
The Orange County Art Educators Association (OCAEA) is presenting a professional development workshop for art educators. Participating teachers will learn classroom management skills targeted toward art classrooms at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. They will also learn methods for storing, curating, and presenting artwork for art shows, festivals, school, and contests. Each school level will include two discussion assignments to be completed for in-service points.

Succeeding in Ceramics

Food is typically included however please stay tuned for more updates on offerings and price.
Participants will learn how to load and fire their kiln successfully to complete their pottery projects with a step-by-step demonstration followed by a question and answer period.  Participants will learn pottery hand-building techniques by creating various projects that utilize coil, slab, and pinch pot construction methods. Participants will also be allowed to experience throwing pottery on the wheel.
